Classic Rock: 1966 - The Beat Goes On features some of the year's top pop hits, embracing sunshine pop, Motown, and garage rock. Among the highlights are the Left Banke's "Walk Away Renee," the Supremes' "My World Is Empty Without You," Mitch Ryder & the Detroit Wheels' "Devil With a Blue Dress On/Good Golly Miss Molly," Lou Christie's "Lightnin' Strikes," Paul Revere & the Raiders' "Hungry," and the Monkees' "Last Train to Clarksville." Time-Life released several other volumes in the Classic Rock series that are of equally high quality.
