About

I was listening to country music at a very early age and like Barbara Mandrell says in her song "I was country, when country wasn't cool" I worked at various radio stations over the years both in Alberta and BC but truly my fondness most memorable memories was working with the likes of the late Ed Whelan, Ned Corigal and the very funny and talented Jimmy Hughes just to name a few way back then at CFAC radio here in Calgary. I worked swing shifts on air as well as doing remotes and working as the assistant music director from time to time helping out Larry Kunkle and later on David Wilkie. I loved it all. Later though, I took a hiatus from radio for many years but the "itch" was always there in the back of my mind to someday return to country music radio. I am forever indebted and most grateful to PD and morning show host Ken Rigel to have me as part of the Classic Country AM1060 family, so I say to you until next time, "keep'er country"
